Pets Import
The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority(AVA) of Singapore had lifted the quarantine rule of animals having to be
quarantine for 30 days upon arrival to Singapore.
As many countires also have strict policies against rabies, its safe to lift this quarantine rule as there
is now more advance rabies vaccine and also improved in anti rabies antibodies which will be feed to a vaccinated
pet.
Rabies is a viral disease which affects the nervous system and can lead to death. It is transmitted among
mammals - including humans - via the saliva of an infected animal, usually through bites.
Singapore is a rabies free country since 1953 which is an impressive achievement considering that it imports
thousands of dogs and cats each year.
