There are more and more people having dogs as pets and many of these people tend to neglect somethings that are rather important to the dog. Here are some dog tips on how to look after a dog.

• Prevention is better than cure. Always make sure that your dog fully vacinated annually, provide your dog with a proper diet and ensure that they have sufficient exercise. When your dog starts vomitting, diahrea or a sudden loss of weight, immediately bring it to a vet to have it properly examined.

• If your puppy pees on your carpet, use a use a cloth or a paper towel to soak up most of the mess. After which, sprinkle baking soda over the area and leave it there for a while. It removes the traces of urine and odor.

• When your dog runs away and u finally catch up with it, never ever scold or beat your dog as it might cause it to avoid you in future due to fear.

• Do not leave your dog unattended on a choke chain, the chain might get caught and strangle the dog.

• When your dog is teething, get them some unwanted cloth for them to bite on rather then let them chew on ur shoes or sofa.

• Do not leave television cables and phone wires at a height or place which your dog can reach easily. They will tend to chew at it and break it in time to come, some might even get electricuted.

• Do not leave your dog unattended in the car on days which are hot. It takes only abt 5 minutes for the temperature in the car to reach deadly levels.
